Logline
Venus, a Black violinist coping with personal and professional loss, visits her wife Harley’s family estate, only to encounter visions that unearth hidden histories and fractured legacies. As the past intrudes on their relationship, Venus must navigate love, identity, and inherited pain.
The Inheritance is a haunting examination of intimacy, generational trauma, and the emotional weight we carry from what came before. Created as part of the AFI Directing Workshop for Women+ (DWW+), the film explores how history, love, and fear intertwine in ways both visible and invisible.
